Abstract
The article presents Bocheński’s analysis of authority. Bocheński’s book about authority constitutes the grounds for the logic of authority. The word “authority” is ambiguous. The philosopher makes a distinction between two types of authority: epistemic authority and deontic authority. Authority is a relation between a person who has authority and another person who needs authority in a specific area. This area relates to sentences or orders.
